How to enable JavaScript in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and 7

Open Internet Explorer First and then:

1. Open Tools menu…
   
   
   
2. Click on Internet Options to open the Internet Options dialog box.
   
   
3. Select the Security tab, and then click to select the internet globe icon to change the settings for internet browsing.
   
   
4. Next click the Custom Level button to open the Security Settings dialog box.
   
   
5. Security Settings dialog will display the list settings that can be changed according to the requirements.
   
   
   
6. Scroll down the list to Scripting options.
   
   
7. Enable the Active Scripting by selecting the enable radio button.
   
   
8. Enable the Allow paste operations via script by selecting the enable radio button.
   
   
9. Enable the scripting of Java Applets by selecting the enable radio button
   
   
10. Click ok to apply the security settings. It will show the confirmation message box to save the settings, click yes to confirm.
    
    
11. Last click the Ok to save and exit the Internet Options

Internet Explorer 7 has some new options also in the security settings list like Allow Status Bar updates via Script and Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted windows. You can enable the Allow status bar updates option.
